Costume Day: Wear your (school-appropriate) Halloween costume or a fun dress-up outfit.
Halloween Parade
Children will parade in front of parents and families. This is a highlight at the little school and you won't want to miss it! Children usually go back to class afterwards for special snacks and classroom activities. Check with your teacher for details.
Staff In-service Day- All Services Closed
All services closed for a staff in-service day.
Candy Collection For the Troops
Bring your leftover candies to the little school, we are collecting them to send them to the troops!
Thanksgiving Feast
Students will enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with their classroom on the indoor playground. This is a long time tradition of the little school. Keep an eye out for volunteer sign up.
Holiday Show Rehearsal
Preschool and Pre-K students will rehearse the Holiday Program on site. See teachers for details.
ADDENDUM - ALL SERVICES CLOSED FOR PRE-WEE AND PLAY LITTLE
All services are closed for Pre-Wee and Play Little classrooms (Sam, Sarah, Lauren and Maggie) as staff will be supporting the Holiday Program presented by Preschool and Pre-K students.
Holiday Show
Come enjoy our annual Holiday Program. Preschool and Pre-K students will sing Holiday themed songs that they rehearsed over the previous months with their music teacher, Miss Jackie.

ACT I: 10 AM - Preschool (Gina, Amy & Beth, and Sandy):
ACT II: 10:45 AM - Pre-K (Cat, Grace, and Nicki)
ALL PRESCHOOL AND PREK STUDENTS MUST REPORT TO LSKC NO LATER THAN 8:30 AM for a short rehearsal before we bus them to the performance location.
Seating for Act I ONLY will begin at 9:45am.
Seating for Act II will begin around 10:35am.
Students will be transported by an approved parent/guardian home after the conclusion of the performance. The little school will be closed for all services following the performances.

Extended Care TBD
No preschool morning program, open to Extended Care students only via sign up in the main office. More details to follow.
Made 4 Moms' Market
Join us for a wonderful vendor event focused all on moms! Come shop on February 7th from 10am-2pm the array of vendor, grab a bite to eat from our food truck and enjoy a drink. We will also be hosting a raffle where all proceeds benefit the Jane and Jack Richter scholarship fund, directly benefiting students at the little school. Bring a friend or two and enjoy this fun event! More details to come!

Shamrock Shake
The little school dance is coming back with a St Patrick’s theme! Mark your calendar, this is the cutest event of the year when all our little munchkins get to dance with their friends and family. More details to come.

ART SHOW
Save the date! You won’t want to miss the little school amazing art show. For one evening, the little school becomes an impressive museum, each classroom displaying students’ art made throughout the school year.
Pre-K Moving Up Day (10am-12pm)
This is our Pre-K moving on celebration as our oldest group of students “moves up”! All of our Pre-K classes practice a collection of songs with Ms. Jackie that they perform for their parents and teachers. On our moving up day, the Pre-K students will promenade through our school as all of our other classes cheer them on to their new adventure! Details to come.
August Camp Ends
This is the last day of camp. Please note that this is a half day. Families must be here at 11 am to participate in our End of Camp party. All festivities will end promptly at 1 pm.

End-of-Camp Celebration - The Book Carnival – August 15, 2025 (11 AM - 1 PM Parents Attendance Required)
Join us for a big end-of-summer celebration! Families are invited to enjoy games, activities, and book-themed fun. All students must have a parent/guardian present during this event. Summer camp will officially end at 1 PM on August 15th. More details to come!
Delaware State Forestry Visitor
Our students will get to learn all about bugs thanks to the wonderful Ashley Melvin from Delaware State Forestry.
Pirate Treasure Hunt
Our students will go on a treasure hunt around the school, and while on their quest, they may meet a real pirate!
New Castle Mounted Patrol Visitor
New Castle Mounted Patrol is coming for a visit and we could not be more excited! The main parking lot will be blocked for this visitor.
TRASH CAN DAN
Trash Can Dan is coming to the little school to teach our campers all about recycling.
