Embryo Unit
The Embryo Unit is a unique project we take on at the little school. Four classrooms will receive eggs ready to hatch and then care for the little chicks for a week. The other classrooms will get the opportunity to visit as well. You can support your children’s learnings by asking them at home what they are observing and learning.
Ramadan Visitors
Students will learn about Ramadan, the month of fasting in the Muslim religion.

The little school dance is coming back with a St Patrick’s theme! Mark your calendar, this is the cutest event of the year when all our little munchkins get to dance with their friends and family. More details to come.

ART SHOW
Save the date! You won’t want to miss the little school amazing art show. For one evening, the little school becomes an impressive museum, each classroom displaying students’ art made throughout the school year.
Pre-K Moving Up Day (10am-12pm)
This is our Pre-K moving on celebration as our oldest group of students “moves up”! All of our Pre-K classes practice a collection of songs with Ms. Jackie that they perform for their parents and teachers. On our moving up day, the Pre-K students will promenade through our school as all of our other classes cheer them on to their new adventure! Details to come.
CAMP IMAGINATION: Where big dreams, silly ideas, and pretend worlds come alive!
Summer Camp 1 starts today. Welcome to all Camp Imagination campers!
Week 1: Rainbow Explosion
Color is everywhere. Campers will splash, swirl, build, paint, dance, and play their way through a week full of bright surprises. Every day brings a new color adventure packed with games, art, and joyful fun.
Week 2: Seuss-tastic
Things get silly in the best way. Inspired by Dr. Seuss, campers will rhyme, invent, imagine, and laugh through wacky challenges, goofy games, and creative thinking that encourages “what if” moments all week long.
Week 3: Mission: Space Camp
Three… two… one… blast off. Campers become astronauts as they explore planets, stars, rockets, and far-off galaxies. Space experiments, cosmic crafts, and galactic games make this week truly out of this world.

Week 4: Island Adventure
Ahoy, explorers. Campers land on a mystery island filled with hidden treasures, ocean animals, maps, and adventure challenges. Teamwork, imagination, and exploration guide every day.

From sunshine to storms, campers explore the power of weather through hands-on experiments, sensory play, creative art, and movement. This week blends science and imagination in exciting ways.

Week 2: On the Move: Transportation Week
Vroom, zoom, and roll. Campers design roads, build vehicles, fly planes, and race through obstacle courses while discovering all the ways people and objects move from place to place.
Week 3: Time Travelers Week
Hold on tight — we are traveling through time. One day might feature dinosaurs, another knights and castles, and another the future. Campers explore history and imagination through dramatic play, building, and storytelling.
Week 4: Rainforest Rescue Week
Welcome to the jungle. Campers explore rainforest animals, climb through imaginary vines, create tropical art, and learn how to care for the planet through immersive, sensory-rich experiences.
Camp Exploration Starts
This is the first day for our Summer Campers 3. Welcome Camp Exploration campers!
Week 1: Garden Growers Week
Dig, plant, explore, and discover. Campers become nature explorers as they grow plants, observe insects, and learn where food comes from while getting their hands dirty and having fun.
Week 2: Mad Scientist Week
Goggles on. Campers mix, pour, build, test, and explore exciting science challenges that feel like magic but are really learning through play and curiosity.
Week 3: Young Artists Week
Paint big, sculpt, draw, and design. Campers explore different art styles and materials while expressing themselves freely and building confidence in their creativity.
Week 4: All-Star Athlete Week
We end the summer celebrating movement, teamwork, and fun. Campers jump, run, balance, crawl, and cheer each other on through games and challenges that build confidence and community.
End-of-Camp Celebration – August 21, 2026 (11 AM - 1 PM Parents Attendance Required*)
Join us for a big end-of-summer celebration! Families are invited to enjoy games, activities, and sports themed fun. All students must have a parent/guardian present during this event. Summer camp will officially end at 1 PM on August 21st. More details to come!

This is the last day of camp. Please note that this is a half day. Families must be here at 11 am to participate in our End of Camp party. All festivities will end promptly at 1 pm.

Woodwind musicians are coming to the school to share all about their instruments and play some music for us.

Miss Hua Shan and Miss Marie will share about their home traditions, respectively the Lunar New Year and Mardi Gras, with all students.

Big Bad Wolf STEAM Project
The Big Bad Wolf is a fun STEAM project that has become a tradition at the little school. Each class will build a structure out of one material and 1/2 cup of Elmer's glue. Will they withstand the blow of the Big Bad Wolf (Miss Shannon’s leaf blower)? We will gather on the indoor playground for this collective activity.
Made 4 Moms' Market
Join us for a wonderful vendor event focused all on moms! Come shop on February 7th from 10am-2pm the array of vendor, grab a bite to eat from our food truck and enjoy a drink. We will also be hosting a raffle where all proceeds benefit the Jane and Jack Richter scholarship fund, directly benefiting students at the little school. Holiday Show
Come enjoy our annual Holiday Program. Preschool and Pre-K students will sing Holiday themed songs that they rehearsed over the previous months with their music teacher, Miss Jackie.

ACT I: 10 AM - Preschool (Gina, Amy & Beth, and Sandy):
ACT II: 10:45 AM - Pre-K (Cat, Grace, and Nicki)
ALL PRESCHOOL AND PREK STUDENTS MUST REPORT TO LSKC NO LATER THAN 8:30 AM for a short rehearsal before we bus them to the performance location.
Seating for Act I ONLY will begin at 9:45am.
Seating for Act II will begin around 10:35am.
Students will be transported by an approved parent/guardian home after the conclusion of the performance. The little school will be closed for all services following the performances.
